Context

Augmenting large display graphics supplemented with multimodal effects to create engaging, motivating experience. Hybrid augmentation might be more effective than conventional display techniques as a “ticket to talk.”

Design concept

Passage leading towards Stadsmuseum Norrkoping has large displays of old factory pictures. If the reality is enhanced by cranking sounds of factory tools, digital graphics as short movie clips activated on interaction within close proximity, projected pattern appears and form illuminated floral scroll. Factory chimney blows puff of smoke cloud as visitor interacts within the zone.

Prototyping techniques

Before realization could be prototyped through storyboarding, enactment, artificial smoke blowing, created sound, paper and thread etc.
